Plus 44: No It Isn't Meaning
No It Isn't Lyrics
This isn't just goodbye
This is I cant stand you
This is where the road crashed into the ocean
It rises all around me
And now we're barely breathing
A thousand faces we'll choose to ignore
[chorus]
Curse my enemies...

So on TRL on MTV the other day (+44) was on and Mark was talking about how "No it isn't" is all about the break-up of Blink. He was saying how this song was basically his way of coping. And how all of his feelings about the break-up just poured out into these lyrics.
-
um... ok if you guys have been reading all that stuff bout blink 182 on their website and marks interview... you would know this song is definitely about tom... I saw it on TRL today They asked Mark what does your new song No It, Isn't Please understand, This isn't just goodbye, This is I can't stand you? He said It is the way I felt when I split up with blink-182 and Tom DeLonge/ You even maybe able to see that on youtube if you search in the right thing

Yeh I agree with the guy above...
A few more things....
'and my mouth is filled with blood
from trying not to speak ' ... Is actualy because the head of there record label told the band not to tell the press the real thing that was going on with the breakup, the record lamel guy told them to just say evrythign was fine.
'in foreign dressing rooms
i'm empty with the need to'....... Thats because tom canceld the tour they had after the uk tour while they were still playing the uk tour, hence the ' foreign dressing rooms' -

Oh, this song is so about tom and blink182! Almost everything in angels and airwaves is, as well, if you actually think about it.

This is song is about tom and the break up. Mark recently said so in some interviews. Check out the latest news on mtv.Com maybe or just google mark hoppus and they have some stuff. It's completely about tom. "let's burn down something beautiful" is about destroying the band and "the lives that we destroy" is in reference to all the people that got fired when tom insisted they quit the tour. Mark has also said that a lot of (+44) is about the break up, and I know I got that from mtv.Com. So check it out if you're filled with the urge not to believe me.

It does seem like this song is about tom.... "lets slit our wrists and burn down somehting beautiful" could be blink 182 and the lives that they destroyed part could be blink's fans. When he says my mouth is full of blood from trying not to speak, he doesn't want to say anyhting about the breakup. He is basically saying that he just doesn't want to hear Tom anymore...When he says this isn't just goodbye this is I can't stand you.
