Radiohead: I Might Be Wrong Meaning
Song Released: 2001
I Might Be Wrong Lyrics
I might be wrong
I could have sworn
I saw a light coming on
I used to think
I used to think
There is no future left at all
I used to think
Open up, begin again
Let's go down the waterfall
Think about the good...
-
You were wrong
Fall in love with me again
You pushed
But the light still shines in
But only as we begin
It is our future to start
Forget about the rain
The darkness and the pain
That's the only way I let you in
If it's nothing at all
Why am I so afraid to fall. -
This is one of the only songs that actually makes me feel fearful. It is like being stalked by a crazed serial killer eg Ivan Milat through the Belangalo Forrest. The band said Amnesiac was like being caught in a Forrest fire fucking scary. It also has great sexual undertones Col Greenwood's sassy powerful baseline makes me feel like I'm in an intense Bdsm session full of pain & pleasure
-
I think he is talking about the band in general, when they reached certain level of maturity after paranoid android, if you notice the darker songs of the band are mostly before this song so it is probably it.
-
This song is about the destruction of all existence... "let's go down the waterfall,"
-
its simply about Thom Yorke's relationship with his girlfriend, and how she always can pick him back up when he falls. She is the piece he needs for a good life.
