Basically she gets too drunk and leaves with another dude, even though their night was going great. Well her's at least, he was just playing along.
Jigsaw falling into place just means the game is coming to an end faster and faster and it will inevitably end. The less pieces you have the more obvious the picture becomes.
I guess it goes to show how alcohol-and not just alcohol-impairs your judgement.
