Rainbow: Eyes of the World Meaning
Eyes of the World Lyrics
-
It's an anti god song, all about how he lets us all down and doesn't give a damn.
And the lyrics are:damn the name of religion for the pain in our souls. Not the Americanised version that is all over the internet! -
A awesome and enduring song about one's humane feelings of pain and suffering that were left behind the wall of tears, sort of speaking for their Rainbow fans that felt locked out and abanded in the aftermath, with the ones still playing in the remaining band. All after Ronnie james Dio, who painfully had his back to the wall and decided he had to let go of Rainbow in order to take a rest in peace and find some order out of the chaotic tensions of the times that were killing them. So in a sense to the eyes of his x- band members he was not a man anymore with do respect to his departure from Rainbow. Forwhom only symbolically and metaphorically he became to mean a resurrected god or like Moses to the ones that gave their heart and sol to him and who was then not needed anymore in that way looking down on them wandering in their own desert evils done to them[selfs] in the 'eyes of the world'. all done after god metaphorically and symbolically separating the red sea through the right hand and fist of Moses for themselves to cross over and be set free on the other side of the desert sea.

I see the innocent victims, Fighting to get to his door, No chains of events, Can settle him down, He's not a man anymore
