I think this song IS about Hillel's death, but I also think it's partialy about the pressures of being in a band just about to break into the "big time". Getting carried away with the drug use but not getting away with "FAME" i.e. If you see me getting mighty if you see me getting high knock me down. He's asking Hillel to watch over him so to speak, and make sure he doesn't get too high and mighty like rockstars tend to do. That's just my opinoin. Say what you will but I've been in the punk scene for over 20 years and that's largely unethical to act a rockstar.

Its obviously about hilel like he says in scar tissue and like dosed and my lovely man it's about the death of great guitarist and great R.H.C.P guitarist this song is awesome.
