   The band are writing the song together, John changes key from c to d, and Anthony is saying look how easy it is for John, and John says it’s just a minor thing. He knows everything. John is the minor king.

   In religion classes we were told to find a song that describes god or religion to us.I am not someone who is able to believe in a good god without a doubt, but i cannot imagine this whole world working without a higher power.
   So I have chosen this song for it because it really describes my personal view of a religious feeling. There's something greater and wiser than you are, and your problems seem to become smaller and smaller when you think of the huge world you live in and of the problems of other people which are alot bigger than your own ones. There's something you can always rely on an you're just a 'minor king'. It relativizes your own faults in comparison to others. I do not know what Anthony Kiedis wanted to tell us with this piece of art but I think he woulod appreciate my interpretaion as it makes me feel better and happier everytime i listen to it. To me it is a consoling song for the unsure :)

   AK got into an argument about something small and then later wrote a song about how it wasnt a big deal. Hence the name minor thing. this song at the same time is talking about he's really good with small details. "its just a minor thing and i'm a minor king" awesome song though!
