1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:This is such a personal song, but it's definately about time passing and drug addiction. Anthony is hoping he can keep his mind (and soul) together and functioning after years of a hard lifestyle.

I think it's a meloncholey song . It's beautiful . Yes I can't repeat I have to move forward
-
I see this song as having a double meaning. I think it refers to both life and death. In the life perspective, it's talking about the struggles and stress of life wearing the mind down until there isn't much left. In the death perspective, it's asking if death truly is the end. Not even necessarily in an afterlife kind of way, but like just having something left of you when you die. This paradoxical duality of life and death in this song is why it's one of my favs.
-
It's about coming back from a deficit about something you love doing and coming back to retake the reins.
-
I think everyone over thinks everything. He may have thought about putting a little hint about drugs but they were probably jamming out and what he made up fit. If he had such a deep meaning behind every song it would take weeks or months to write one song. Not everything has to mean something extreme. It's just rhyming words that sound good together most of the time
-
Yeah, he hoping in the long run the drugs won't affect his mind and make him forget everything and everyone that made him who he is today.
-
I think the chorus is him talking to the drugs
"Please don't strip my mind, please don't bring me down" -
He wants to remember but drugs are making it hard.
-
This song reminds me of a recently-dumped/broken-up couple. One person always wants to move on, but does not want to forget all the times they had. I think Anthony wants to keep moving, but wants to take a piece of her wherever he goes.
