Red Hot Chili Peppers: Wet Sand Meaning
Wet Sand Lyrics
Keeps coming back dissatisfied
Elementary son, but it's so
My love affair with everywhere
Was innocent why do you care
Someone start the car
Time to go
You're the best I know
My sunny side has up and...

Ok, this is very literal, but you don't form in the wet sand could be a reference to having made love on a beach, and left an impression of her body in the sand, but he's alone now, so she doesn't form in the wet sand, because she's not there.

i agree with people above. He is dating this girl who he thought would be fantastic, yet he comes back "so dissatisfied" like he says in the song. She doesn't turn out ot be what he wasnts and he loses love for her and when he says"you don't form into wet sand" probly means she didn't quite fit in his life like he imagined.
like I've said before I'm not great at getting what I want to say out there.

"you don't form in the wet sand" the ideas he had about certain things aren't concrete. The beliefs he had in certain people or things aren't real enough to make a mark in sand.
It's probably about a girl or drug addiction or both. But it's universal to anything we put too much faith in, or rather when we put faith in the wrong things. -

I believe what he is trying to say in this song is that he was dating a girl he thought he was interested in but then he realized there was nothing to her.when he says,"you don't form in the wet sand" I think he is trying to say that she has no personality and pull herself out of a hole she dug, which is drug addiction.

I believe this songs, gives the messege of you're not all you're cut out to be, "you don't form in the wet sand, you don't form at all" meaning you don't have everything going for you that you thought you did.
