Bravado Lyrics

All my life, I've been fighting a war
I can't talk to you or your friends
It's not only you
My heart jumps around when I'm alluded to
This will not do
Cause I was raised up to be admired, to be noticed
But when you're withdrawn, it's the...

Like one of the posters. I truly see the the road is rough, even for the well off. There is no exemption for anyone in a kaleidoscope of circumstances. Your internal flame is lit at birth yet, merely keeping it lit has no merit. Ignite that flame in a blaze of glory, whether you reach the stars or remain in orbit God has already proved his love to you all.

My wife and I started young in 1986,16&18 and we always been helping others, together without thinking of ourselves. we've had 3 wonderful children, so we have always been in the place where we are needed.Together we have cared for others putting their needs before our own.Now 2019 we have moved in her father who has dementia and it is very challenging and stressful, not complaining just sharing.I came across this CD from my old collection and played it once again. This is what the song means for me.We fell in-love and was so excited about our future together that 33 years after we started we never have given time for each other. I mean we have been together but I mean really taking the much needed time to put us first.

The song, to me, is about the ambition of man and how in the long run it may end up destroying us. We will eventually pay the price for our arrogance if we aren’t careful with our inventions and aspirations and no one who survives will be concerned with counting the cost. Nonetheless, love will remain with them and they will reflect that there is beauty in even our faltering. Neil is a very deep thinker and visionary as is evident in this one.

It is about how being too egotistical is bad and how aiming too high in life can bring you all the way down and to keep your goals in life realistic.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Always greatful to ''RUSH'' Geddy Lee, Alex Leafson and Neil Peart for all the music throughout the years and this song called ''Bravado'' in the honor of man's belief in their noble cost of pride in themselfs where ever they may be in the world. Many people can relate to this song differently, for me the song reflects the beginning of the end of the pride of Yugoslavia's dissintergration as a sovereign country beginning in 1991. I sympathize not to point the finger at anybody in blame, but aware at the time in thought there is nothing more to Satan then to divide and destroy a prideful nation of men of individual integrity in their belief system of what god is, cause he [Satan] is always reminded in the pride of man what he lost and cannot have his place back in God's kingdom [paradise] anymore.
