Hips Don't Lie Lyrics
No fighting, no fighting
We got the refugees up in here
No fighting, no fighting
Shakira, Shakira
I never really knew that she could dance like this
She makes a man want to speak Spanish,
Como se llama,...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is about... Well, the obvious! Nuff said really but if you wanted to delve deeper than that it means.... What comes from the lips usually are lies but what comes from the hips is more physical. Words are sometimes just words but body language and physical movement is sometimes a lot more involuntary. What goes on with shakiras hips are her business but whatever there doing there not lying. She's using them to make a point, to get her way, to make lots of dosh!! And it worked! Well done shakira, ditch the guy in the video though!

A great song about the animal magnetism that can develop on the dance floor. With some cringe "boo hoo muh oppresion!" thrown in for no reason by Wyclef.

About how a guy likes a girl in a certain way in the song and shakira is telling the guy not to do something stupid that make her upset so don't lie to her because she will know!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Shakira says that this song is about how she always knows a song is good when she can't keep from swaying her hips along with it. I like to think it can also mean that you can always tell a person's true feelings by reading their body language. If a girl's hips are swaying, she doesn't have to say a word; you can tell she's having a good time.

It's all in the hips! lol it's about a girl and guy that meet...well...dancing and she's feeling him and vice versa but she's sorta teasing and playing hard to get. He's completely trying to get her home (maybe to just get to know her better) but he's definitely intrigued by her either way.

This song is a crappy re-make of the origional song "dance like this" by: wyclef jean feat. Claudettte ort. It was made for the movie "dirty dancing: havanna nights"

This song is about a guy and a girl who make a connection in dancing. The guy talks about how turned on he is by this girl's danicing and how he never knew she could dance like that. He then asks to get wit her. ( como si llama, bonita, mi casa, su casa? - what's your name, pretty lady, my house, your house?) she says the way he talks urns her on, to be wise, and keep seeing that she wants him too. She tells him to meet her after the show ( for you know) ( my hips dont' lie) then she starts to get really attracted ( come on let's go real slow baby like this is perfecto) she then sees that there's nothing that can stop her from falling for this guy ( my will and self restrant have come to fail now. See I'm doing what I can but
I can't so that's a bit to hard to explain). Then they dance until the next day ( balia en callie de noche/ dia- dance in the streets tonight/today) then she says that the night was perfect. ( I'm stsartin' to feel it's right the attration, the tension, baby like this is perfection.)
