   This song captures the pain of loving someone and them not loving you back. Of them not considering you to be good enough or worthy of them. They treat as nothing though you adore them. You start to hate them just as much as you love them. To you, they are naive and insensitive. They only think of themselves, though they dont realize it.

   song is about cory's ex wife and has to do with his drinking and attempted suicide and there divorce . he is a brilliant writer and performer this song brings tears to my eyes . i feel i can really connect to this song .

   This song is about loving someone that you let into your life to help them. You get angry at yourself for falling for them because you know they wont return it. So you ask them to go so you don't drag them down with you. Then you realize that they never cared, you realize that they were just using you. So you permanently get rid of them and it hurts soo much that if they actually cared you don't want to know because you would go back to them just to be used again.

   Personally from many experiences this song is a story of rejection and the period of wondering what you did wrong or why doesnt she feel the same way. The lyrics "my smile was taken long ago if I could change I hope I never know" to means I've gone through this once before it hasn't stopped happening and I don't know how to change it. The line "I still press your letters to my lips" means I remember all the times we had or when you made me think we were in love. Probobly my favorite line in the song is "you couldn't hate enough to love is that supposed to be enough" then "you solde out to save your self and I won't listen to your shame you ran away your all the same" to me says you stabbed me in the back or led me on I don't want to hear your apologis cause they could be lies as well and your just like everyone else who broke my heart

   How I look at this is that it's about loving someone so much that you become obsessed with that person. Then just the thought of them controls you, so when the person is untouchable (dead, married, etc.) It drives you insane. In the video Corey is following a woman and watching her, then at the end he "becomes" her to deal with the fact that he can't have her. Watch the video it really show's what the song is about, this is only my interpretation

   i love slipknot but this song is a load of crap.it describes my dad.if you love someone enough you'll change period.i know what its like to hate what you've become. i was a herion addict for four years and on methadone for two. it's been over a year and haven't looked back.my mom divorced my dad after thirty years because he didn't want to change.i don't think corey cared to put forth the time and effort to build the relationship so he took the easy way out.even so, we all have our demons, and i prey that corey overcomes his.     This is a very good song. It really speaks to me, I know the song is about love being tookin away, but what this song means to me is... I used to cut myself because it was the only thing that really helped release my pain, I never really trusted anyone so I keep all my emotions in. Anyways, to me it means letting go of something that makes you an ounce of happy but causes a ton of pain. And to only trust yourself, and the part where he says spit your pity in my soul means to me that if I told my family that I ever did that they would pity me and never look or talk to me in the same way, they won't understand why I did it. I know thats not what the song means at all, but everytime I hear this song it reminds me of what I had to overcome by myself.

    I can relate to this song completely. It's all about loving someone who you can't be with is what I think. He still loves her deeply and misses her with everything in him. The part where he says if you still care don't ever let me know gives me chill bumps! He's basically telling her that she can go to hell after ripping him apart. Amazing song all together. One of my top 5 by slipknot even though it's slow.

    I used to love a girl. I met her in january. She helped me going throught the maze that I was in and she promised that once she make it thought her own problem we'll be able to search together for a common happiness which is what keeped me alive all winter long. 6 month later I found out that she had a boyfriend for the last 5 month and she was hiding it. She just said that she was scared to loose me and left me heart broken without a news. I feel like killing myself when I hear this song...in fact. A little part of me die everytime It plays.
