Sting: You Still Touch Me Meaning
Song Released: 1996
You Still Touch Me Lyrics
-
He most definitely has a literal muse or two or twenty and uses these idealized women to help him through whatever problems he is facing at the time in a safe and sublime fashion, by writing songs about them in the comfort of his little retreat at Lake House or his villa in Tuscany or his house in the Cotswolds etc. I am making gentle fun of him as the proverbial lovelorn swain that he has used to excellent monetary effect to fund his lifestyle and family, understanding the pop formula well but at the same time I am sure his feelings were real at the time and genuine. Love makes fools of everyone as he has already mentioned in "love is pain I hear you say...a cruel and bitter way of paying you back for any faith you ever had in your brain"
