   I believe Bradly states that he CAN shake, but he CAN'T breathe, basically saying his addiction makes him unable to function without the substance, most commonly believed as heroin. very moving song

   No, a dinosaur is the term junkies use for the belt they tie around their arm to expose their vein before shooting up. Brad says he can't shake, but he can't breathe, which means that he doesn't hesitate to inject, even though he knows it will kill him one day.

   The name of the song has a sort of strange meaning it refers to the way you draw a needle back before the injection of the heroin into your vain, like a pool player drawing a pool cue back before a shot. The lyric "tying on the dinosaur tonight" refers to the tattoo Bradley had in the middle of his arm.

   Well First of all his name is Nowell, and yes Brad did have a horrible addiction to herione but he was really a junkie. A junkie is the kind of person that operates better with some sort of forign substance flowing through his vaines. This song is a moving song expecially in the acoustic version where you can most hear the pain in his voice. He talks about how he will just do it once then he'll take it away although he knows that he will only want more. He predicts his own demise in this song. Brad did overdose although he didn't mean to take his own life, he ended up doing the fatal dose after clean spell in his life. He was just married and had a wonderful son.

   The song Pool Shark was written by Bradley Knowell during the toughest time of his drug addiction. He was heavily addicted to heroin at one point of his life and it eventualy took his life. In this song he talks about the shame "lying in my plastic bed"/"I used to be so cool" and how he knows that eventualy he will give up and let heroin take over; "one day I'm gonna lose the war."
