System of a Down: ATWA Meaning
ATWA Lyrics
All the world I’ve seen before me passing by
I’ve got nothing, to gain, to lose
All the world I’ve seen before me passing by
You don’t care about how I feel
I don’t feel it any more
You don’t care about how I...

I was looking up lyrics for ATWA on google, and I found this one site, and it has the abbreviation for ATWA as "Association on Third World Affairs", this could be because of the Armenian Genocide, it would make sense because of the third world country thing. and maybe this is supposed to be seeing the genocide through the eyes of a person hiding and watching the world "passing by" him, and the "pictures crazy" line might be when people see pictures of the genocide they think how crazy it is, and when they scream "you don't care about how I feel, I don't feel it anymore" its saying that the armenian army has found the guy that was hiding, and they don't care how he feels when he is pleading for his life, and then he dosnt feel it anymore, because they killed him, and that's why he "doesnt eat, dosnt sleep, dosnt feel, and doesnt live anymore". This makes a lot of sense to me, but I could be wrong.

I remember reading somewhere that this is about TV and media...
Pictures... crazy?
'You don't care about how I feel, you just show stuff so I buy it'
Not sure about this, or if/ where the translation of 'ATWA' comes into it, but for the lyrics it made sense to me -
ATWA was used as an acronym for "Air, Trees, Water, Animals" but was also considered as "All the way alive." Just a little tidbit.
-
It's true, ATWA stands for Air, Trees, Water and Animals. This is Charles Manson's theory, I'm a bit unsure as to meaning. SOAD also thank Charles Manson in Toxicity's booklet.
-
this song is about Charles Manson. For one thing, Charles Manson and Ozzy Osbourne are Serj's idols. Everybody thinks this is a love song, but it's not. The song was about Charles Manson.
