System of a Down: Bounce Meaning
Bounce Lyrics
I went out on a date
With a girl, a bit late
She had so many friends
Gliding through many hands
I brought my pogo stick
Just to show her a trick
She had so many friends
Gliding through many hands
Jump...

"twister" is the reference of an orgy and "pogo stick" is the reference of his "dong", if you will, "one pogo" means one dong "jump bounce etc." means girl "bouncing" on his "pogo stick" and i dont know wat everyones saying how this was akward its really not but ya the songs about boikin a girl
-
I'ts a bunch of kids playing around with a pogo stick...

"once again this song is about nothing."- Daron Malakian
XD i dont think this song is about "nothing" but i wanted to say that. -
I think it generally describe a type of person (someone that likes to party, have sexual intercourse, and do drugs), like many of System Of A Down songs, it have a broad range of meanings, I can't say this means that, if I did, that would be to bias. But I have a specific interest in the meanings they have. I'm going to explain each of the three I have mention:
Sexual Intercourse: Jump, bounce, pogo. All are references of the meaning of having sex.
Party: The bouncing and saying only one pogo stick references to the person parting, as they jump it's like having a pogo stick for legs.
Drugs: Players with no names, dealers of drugs, that is all I see about drugs in this song. -
This song is about giant sex orgies.
Not convinced?
"JUMP! POGO POGO POGO!"
Think of a girl, going up and down, on a mans lap.
"But just 1 pogo stick"
Theres only 1 man, and a ton of girls. -
Uh, heroin doesn't cause sexual stimulation in fact its the opposite... fucking 13 year olds
-
I think this song is about an orgy but as has only one man represented by the pogo stick (his penis) the rest are women. "Only one pogo stick". with other comments like lay you out touching behind etc it shows relevance to sex. Also passing one pogo stick through all the hands shows the man in control. Although it could be regarded as drug related, referring to a needle.

This song is about sex, I saw an interview with Serj in the past and he basically said it was about sex.
-
Yes the song is about sex. The only thing is, however, it's not an orgy 'cause orgies are group sex (meaning several couples) and he's talking about only himself pleasing several girls. To be honest, it's called "gangbangs".
-
yes,yes indeed, good song
its about an orgy yep an orgy, "I went out on a date with a girl a bit late, she had so many friends" refers to lots of girls in orgy "I brought my pogo stick just to show here a trick" refers to penis (pogo stich = penis
yeah you can figure the rest out, its self explanatory

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Obvious? Check out atwa. That's obvious.
But yes, this is very obvious. If they say it in front of 3000 people, then they probably aren't lying. -
Ok honestly if you couldnt figure out that this was about sex the first time you listened to it....You don't deserve to listen to it..."ooo I like to spread you out, touching whoevers behind" plus the girl had so many friends....But just one pogo stick (as in only one penis).....Unannounced twister game...Its kinda obvious if you ask me
