She's Like Heroin Lyrics

She's like heroin
Sipping through a little glass
I'm looking for some help
I need someone to save her ass

Chinese tricks in rooms
With ghost's of hooker girly dudes

Me and heroin, maybe we can make some cash selling
ASS
Selling ass...

The last interpritation makes sense if you think about it. It is talking about how guys go out with girls, and spend all this money on them. When he says 'selling ass for heroin' he is saying that all this money that you work hard for 8 hours a day, is thrown away on her, just like a heroin addict would be throwing his money away to buy heroin. God I hope I just made sense.

I think this is from the view point of a Transgender girl who is addicted to heroin and needs to prostitute to support their addiction, all the while realizing this is a dead end life and they need help before they become a ghost of their girly dude self after buying into tricks of the media and societies pressures and evils. She wants to be a whore, he wants to wear a dress, that isn't 2 people it's one person confused by their situation and who can only see heroin as the answer, its about not being able to see the forest from the trees I believe.

People people... It's not about her addiction to heroin. It's about him being addicted to her.

The he and her are 2 facets of the same person. The one he's in love with is the female facet. After getting attached, he realizes he can't have 'her' without 'him'. He doesn't want the 'him' part, but realizes this after he's already allowed himself to get attached. Now he needs help removing himself, because he was hooked on 'her' like heroine, but has to give 'her' up because it's no good for either of them, but it's going to hurt and make him sick.

It's like the movie "Requiem for a dream". The couple is addicted to drugs and she is like a heroin for him and they need cash so she starts prostitution because she needs heroin and he wants to make cash because he is a drug addict and a drug dealer and with the cash he can buy drugs to sell. She also fights with him because he doesn't bring drugs.

its almost as if shes saying he is using money to buy heroin which could also be linked to buying girls. the lyrics clearly indicate a behavior having to do with prostitution. its a lifestyle that's addicting "like heroin" in which he "needs someone to save my ass"

Obviously this song is related to the previous one [Vicinity of Obscenity]. SOAD are talking about the same prostitute who is figured out to sell her self to give her boyfriend some money to buy heroin. In fact she wants nothing more but to be a little whore while her boyfriend would like to save her ass selling his own body, wearing a little dress (a women dress) for chinese tricks, because his girl has became like heroin. In the end he saves her but he needs some help to stop his real addiction.

Basic this person is addicted to heroine so they spent a whole load of cash on it, then eventually they run out of money and then she has to take on a prostitute job to get it back.

well, i thought its about him making money for herion from prostution... i think "shes like herion" means other people are addicted to her... but he also says "I need someone to help make cash selling ass for heroin" so that sort of implies he's selling the prostitute for the drugs

This song like many others are about Daron girlfriend and flings he's had in the past. That's why Daron sings it. All the songs that relate to Daron are sung by him. This song is about an unemployed junkie couple struggling for money with prostitution their only source of income. The boyfriend in the picture gets depressed and jealous that his girlfriend is doing this so he sells himself as well.

System of a down were raised in hollywood.
in which they had deep and seeing eyes.
but hollywood is a plastic city
in which this song explains is like..
heroin is a feeling of belonging and happiness..
sad in hollywood you have to sell yourself.

sellout and sell your soul for happiness that is the thinking of hollywood. and well that mindrot has spread further then just there.

hollywood and babylon are one in the same.

From what I have been able to get from the song is that the prostitute "SHE" is as bad as heroin. Not in the form of an addiction for the customer but as in the form of a profit. You sell heroin you get cash. You sell ass you get cash.

When he is talking about Chinese tricks in room he is referring to a whore house and how people that go there bring drugs to do with the women that they are having sex with. When he is talking about he wants nothing less but to were a little dress he is talking about a heroin addiction makes you really skinny and you are basically like a prostitute because you are willing to anything to get that fix that you are looking for.

I've heard, I forget the name, two or three songs by them that sound in favor of socialism, or at least against capitalism. This band is composed of people from eastern Europe (from what I've read, not necessarily accurate but if we assume it's true). They lived under an iron curtain if they were around before 1990 and apparently they survived a genocide which makes it more likely to speak against of for whatever they think caused it.
She's like Heroin= Consumers, Americans, overall America, maybe right into capitalism... meaning that capitalism is addictive, and due to the fact that she wants nothing more than to be a whore means that all she wants to do is sell herself, which the band may see capitalism as bad and thusly present this idea as bad.
Chinese phrase= The Chinese are/were communist/socialist, like what they want, but as their trade relations increase with the US they become less of either, meaning they're the ghost of their former selves.
The fact that the person singing ends up needing to be saved himself means that he himself becomes addicted to capitalism/her.

    Other supporting facts
"I need to make some cash"- both capitalism and socialism are political and economic policy.
"me and heroin, maybe we can make some cash"- he's tried capitalism and sees its failures

Problems: He wants to sell her ass and repeatedly states it...so is he really as good as the socialist ideas he sees?

Remember this could be a simple paranoid opinion.

"She wants nothing more, but to be a little whore, He wants nothing less, but to wear a little dress" She and He may be the same person, considering the fact that "She" or He is not currently in a mentally stable condition. The dress refers to "His" attempt at becoming a woman, transvestite.

"She's like Heroin" As if to say of course that She/he is addictive sexually or sexually addicted.

"Chinese tricks in rooms with ghosts of hooker girly dudes" Would be other's who have been in the same position as her. Also provides proof of trans-sexualities being a key part of the song.

The song all in all focuses on an oriental transvestite male to woman prostitude addicted to heroin and in need of saving.

I think that the "chinese tricks in rooms with ghosts of hooker girly dudes" part brings an image of an old rent-by-the-hour hotel.

I am no expert on this but I think that the victorian era's sexual hang-ups were brought down in part by literature which 'imported' oriental erotiscm from the east. So I would associate "chinese tricks" i.e. chinese bedroom tricks with both the sexual revolution and sexual repression.

I would say "ghosts of hooker girly dudes" is referring literally to dead transvestite prostitutes in other words people consumed by drugs and prostitution; victims of modern culture.

So I think that the "chinese tricks in rooms with ghosts of hooker girly dudes" part is about how people can be consumed by modern culture.
