Wild Wild Life Lyrics

I'm wearin'
Fur pyjamas
I ride a
Hot Potata'
It's tickling my fancy
Speak up, I can't hear you

Here on this mountaintop
Woahoho
I got some wild, wild life
I got some news to tell ya
Woahoho
About some wild, wild life
Here comes the doctor in...

    Totally about Cocaine:

"Here on this mountain top" - When you are using, you feel like king of the mountain. Or could be interpreted as,
"The mountain top": he is at the pinnacle of success, and cocaine use is used by the uber successful.

"Sitting on a window sill, but he spends his time behind closed doors" - He has a corner Office with views, but he is spending all his time snorting our of sight of other people.
"Mr Businessman" is buying coke on the way to work, then snorting in the bathroom.
"Break it up When he opens the door" The bathroom door opens and everyone stops and acts like they were not just snorting...
"Peace of Mind is a Piece of Cake" - the peace of mind knowing that it is available any time you need it. "You get on board any time you like"
"Like sitting on pins and Needles, things fall apart, its scientific" - Eventually, you have to come down.
"Sleeping on the Interstate"- Life falls apart and you find yourself homeless junkie
"Checking in, and checking out" - Get a hotel room to purchase, and then getting wasted
"We wanna go, baby go baby, go " - Coke gives you heightened sense of urgency and energy.

It totally makes sense this song could probably just be about cocaine, but when you're walking or driving around and listening to this song, it's just a lot of fun to interpret it as "wow, it really is a wild wild life." Like everybody's just walking around living different lives and everybody has different values and experiences, it's just so crazy. The "doctor in charge" and "mister business man" are just going about their days and everyone is just existing and living their weird lives at the same time.

I'm pretty sure that i understand the simple broad concept of this song, but may have trouble explaining. Ill try... It's written from the point of view of A person who is curious about how some high strung and possibly narcissistic people overdramatize and oversensationalize their normal lives that consist of normal actions. They do this in their own heads as well as to other people as though their lives or things that they do are something more than normal and unspectacular. It's kind of taking a shot at those kind of people, because other more down to earth and layed back people do the same things, but without all the horn tootin and fanfare

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
