The All-American Rejects: Walk Over Me Meaning
Song Released: 2012
Walk Over Me Lyrics
Could you please just give me something for the state I'm in
I'm having trouble and society believe I got it wrong again
I'm one month sober I don't think I'm getting over my predicament
But if I jumped out of the window what...
-
so basically it's this:
Tyson is having trouble in his life and wants to sing about it
He goes to a psychiatrist to seek treatment for his troubles. Tyson seems to believe that he "should be dead", and also that his girlfriend thinks he is crazy, causing him to go to extreme extents (jumping out of windows...). The psychiatrist interprets this as a joke (walking all over Tyson). With that Tyson leaves to think about what had happenend, and returns the next day and mocks the psychiatrist, telling him to "speak the truth".
In my opinion, I think that this song is meant to be a shout to make fun of and/or mock the corporates. This is definitely a work of art by The All-American Rejects :p
