The Devil Wears Prada: Sassafras Meaning
Sassafras Lyrics
Where all it takes is another step so we can then step again
it's not all about the numbers
This is the faith complex
try not to write another disappointing letter to integrity
only go faster when you've stopped and...
-
Let me start by saying I am not myself of the christian faith, but that these lyrics are still worth looking at. Sassafras by The Devil Wears Prada speaks out to those who have led dissapointing, sinful, and aweful lives. Saying it is never too late for redemption, and the key is to always be true to yourself, and to take little steps towards a better life. "It's not about numbers", meaning its not about how many times one goes to church, as long as he honestly believes everything that is told to him. It also says that everyone starts out a good person, at their roots and is simply corrupted on the way, caught up in branches, and that they should "go back to their roots". There will always be hardships and hard choices to make, but with faith a good path will be led to you in the end.
