The Doors: Strange Days Meaning
Strange Days Lyrics
Strange days have tracked us down
They're going to destroy
Our casual joys
We shall go on playing
Or find a new town
Yeah!
Strange eyes fill strange rooms
Voices will signal their tired end

An interesting perspective on the drug tripping party culture. It seems that, while on tour, the Doors would go to parties hosted by perfect strangers. I presume the song relates the experience from Jim Morrison's point of view. He is confused, disorientated, and very much alientated. In his own view, a cold, tiresome, lonely, sinful and destructive affair.
"Strange days have found us.
Strange days have tracked us down."
He cannot escape.
"They're going to destroy our casual joys."
Putting an end to his carefree, fun loving life.
"Strange eyes fill strange rooms.
Voices will signal their tired end."
Notice that he has no idea who the people in the room are, nor can he clearly make out the face of the person who is talking to him.
"Strange days have found us, and through their strange hours we linger alone."
The whole affair 'drags on' for many hours, during which time he is completely lost.
"Bodies confused."
I get some notion of people being all tangled up, almost like puppets that have been tossed about absent mindlessly.
"Memories misused."
After the party is over, he has no clear recollection of what happened.
Very similar to my own partying experiences during adolescence. Hence the reason I find it easy to understand his point of view. I rarely socialize well when under the influence of alcohol and drugs. As an adult, an occasional visit to a bar or night club was also fruitless. I could go on and on about how I would get lost from the group and would wander in the streets for hours trying to find them. Sometimes they would find me sleeping on the ground. But why bore you with redundant details? -
It's about drugs, their effect, the hallucinations, It can probably be refering to Cocaine or lsd.
