in my opinion, its about an lsd trip, when i was in the desert i think i killed someone , ( he killed him self, he killed his ego bc psychedelics can cause ego death) (i had one to from lsd, its totally feel like you killed your self) this guy give me a ride - ( hes dealer give him the lsd tab) yea its fit on the hitchiker story to, but i prefer this

The Hitchhiker is a song that delves into the universe of "Riders on Storm", where, in my opinion, the "killer on the road" is death itself, masked as an hitchhiker, because it is always walking alongside you and both passengers are headeing to the same final destination, death. The whole eerie atmosphere surrounding the song, amplifies the dark message behind it.
