The Fray: Say When Meaning
Say When Lyrics
don't know where you come from
Unaware of a stare from someone
Don't Appear to care
that I saw you, and I want you
What's your name?
Cause I have to know it
You let me in and begin to show it
I'm terrified
cause...

i think this song is like a "Romeo & Juliet" or "Bonnie & Clyde" story, "Romeo & Juliet" because there are two persons really in love with each other and "Bonnie & Clyde" because how dark and deep could be the story of this lovers, i believe that is more like an internal war in one or both of them like in the movie "Silver Linings Playbook". i mean it could be like lots of people told, the song is about a couple in the second world war, but the way the lyrics of the song go i feel it more like both of them had problems, in the song theres a man talking to a women, i think that the women maybe has depression and what the lyrics said is only the perspective of the women, how she fell the arrive of that man, like her savior of that internal war she had

I think this song is about a soldier who falls in love with a woman in a country he’s trying to protect. Because they come from different cultures and have different faiths-they aren’t supposed to be together. War threatens to tear them apart but they end up finding a way to be together. There is a part of the song that makes me picture an attack and the soldier needing to rescue her.

I feel like this is a song about two people who (dating most likely) He knows there's something wrong, something happened she won't tell her something that hurt her badly. the memories keep appearing in her head she's breaking down, all he wants to do is be there for her but she won't tell him what happened. he instead stays with her. at the end, she tells him. She's afraid he'll leave her, and she'll be all alone. but he reassures her. he won't ever leave her. and comforts her.

I think this song is about a very special Lady. When and what people that have become apart of her ideology are willing to do to protect her, you and us all. She stands tall, thanks to people such as John Locke, Frédéric Bartholdi, Gustave Eiffel and all those who have given everything for her. Including those who have died to protect her and our way of life.
