The Friday Night Boys: The First Time (Natalie's Song) Meaning
The First Time (Natalie's Song) Lyrics
Pull yourself together, it'll be alright..
Regrets, inside completely useless
But i can't go back
But If she wanted me to stay
How could i go, i should have known
It was the first time, gimme gimme
Back what you take, it's over me
I...

I believe this song overall is about a guy and a girl who had sex, only it was the girls first time and the guy had no clue. The girl is a little torn up about this. He feels guilty, but the girl failed to mention she'd never had sex before, so he knows its not entirely his fault.
The first few lines:
'Calm down, pull yourself together
It'll be alright
Regrets, so completely useless
But I can't go back'
This reveals the girl was not emotionally ready for sex. It also shows the boy is harboring guilty feelings about this fact.
Then into the chorus with the lines:
'If she wanted me to stay
How could I go?'
This shows that she wanted him to stay over, and he couldn't resist. There for, she kind of brought this even to herself.
Towards the end of the song, the boy starts to wonder if the experience even meant anything to the girl because she isn't treating him like she used to.
In a nutshell, the boy is torn between wishing he could take it back, for sake of how the girl is feeling. However on the other hand, since it obviously was not his first time having sex & he wanted to stay with her that night, he does not personally regret the experience they shared.
