The Killers: Replaceable Meaning
Replaceable Lyrics
later on
what to do?
it doesn't matter 'cause you get
what you want
through and through and if you shatter everything
that we've got
will you call me on occasion
if you like it or not, oh no
so turn it up, take me...

#1 top rated interpretation:This is about the aftermath of a breakup, and the anger and resentment he feels toward this girl, which whom he obviously loved. He's angry at her for messing everything up for him, he's sad because he is mourning for their relationship. All he wants is an answer because he just can't even understand that he was so easily replaced by another guy. He wants this girl to stop pretending and just addmit she loved him, and leaving him and hurting him so badly was wrong.

The song goes "so just stand beside your man, double A-ron, act like I never turned you on" meaning the man was Aaron, whomever that is. The sincerity is in his voice, honestly, I think song means his feelings toward this was dedicated to. It talks about a boy and a girl who were seeing each other, not necessarily dating, and the girl goes out with another boy who replaces whatever she doesn't see in the boy. "everything that we've got, will you call me on occasion" meaning, if you ruin our friendship or what could be more, you'll still call me?? wow, its honestly fucked up that situations happen like this. That's why will smith is here to save people (yes, it was a hitch reference xD) from this. lol

I've read somewhere that this song is about a guy who is in love with a girl and will do anything for her. This shown by the line "Pick you up, later on what to do it doesnt matter", basically saying he'll do whatever she wants as long as shes happy. I think the rest of the song goes on to explain how the girl just uses him to make herself feel good and then calls it off with him phrases like "if you shatter everything that we have" and "act like i never turn you on.. all i do is cry" Suggest this. But hey this is only what iv heard :)

He's broken up with a girl, he's hurt and crying. She's moved on, but she "calls him on occasions". She's now with a guy that looks a lot like himself. He's referring to himself as "Replaceable".
