The Pretty Reckless: Dear Sister Meaning
Dear Sister Lyrics
I've told the truth so many years
No one seems to want to hear that
I'm not someone else inside
I've been along this lonely road
Looks like I'm not coming home
But I don't mind
Please don't cry

It’s more like a suicide note. Since the album is mainly about religion and other stuff. It’s more of like someone living in a convent and she’s not really happy in there but she cant escape and so she decided to go. And this is her letter to the nuns who took care of her.

It makes me think of a plea for guidance. "Dear sister I look up to you and need you to show me how to be like everyone else. Being myself isn't enough; they want me to be someone that I'm not. I don't think I'm going to be okay, I don't think I'll survive trying to be what they want and I'm okay with that, please don't mourn me."
