Heaven Knows Lyrics
If you listen close
You can hear him cry
Oh, Lord, heaven knows
We belong way down below
Sing it

I see it from a very personal level where youth have been forced into moral paradoxes that seem to have no way out. The boy seems to be using drugs to cope with pain or selling to get by. If he doesn't he will be depressed or he won't have any money to live. On the other hand it seems like the girl is being forced to sell her body for money just to get by even though it isn't something she enjoys at all. I have unfortunately known young teens in my highschool years that were in those situations where they felt like dying and like they couldn't get out because they had to keep lying to avoid being attacked by society for their actions. I feel like it's also religious commentary on the fact that religions cling to purity and are quick to shun and shame people who don't fit their definitions of pure. In most paradoxal situations you can't live that way and must be "going to hell" which applies to pretty much everyone. This is similar to offsprings "the kids aren't alright" to me.

This song sounds Hopelessly Romantic. The lovers pursuing a forbidden love or a kind of that's why it's hurting for them to have their desire to loved. But I think God designs a love that has freedom for both of you to express whereas you can spread your wings and be proud of the relationship, or shall say the love of two lovers that blesses every person around them.
This another interpretation, is a lover hardly accept the fact of letting go of her mate. ACCEPTANCE is sometimes the hardest subject that can be taught and learned but it is so necessary: within the mere fact in this world that only permanent is change. We should be ready of losing someone and move on. Because life can live at once. Cherishes the days of her/his stay but don't mess out the plenty of days where you can be thankful when God added him/her into your life.She's/ He's not the whole thing that define your life but just the missing part.
