I think that if you get an ego boost from giving then your winirg is a little fried. Giving should be altruistic. However, if someone does give, and that person gives a lot, and it does boost their ego, then is that really a bad thing for the people receiving his gifts?For me personally, I dislike buying gifts, but on the flip-side the joy I get from giving those gifts outweighs the dislike of buying them. I think that most people feel this way otherwise no-one would give any gifts.I think that as long as you're giving, and your giving doesn't make another person feel inferior in any way, is it a bad thing?
