I think that it is about how when we start over it is the end of our old life or live and the Beginning of a new life. When it say's the end is where we begin, its crawling back when we run away..." this shows that when we have moved on to a new life time is crawling backwards, while we run/ move towards a new beginning.

It's talking about how as Christians, we have to broken and put back together so to speak to be more like Jesus and less like our self-absorbed former selves. We gotta start somewhere and often that is from the bottom up. Where your old life ends is where the new one begins
