    The loss of a mother for a son is life altering and fills one with regret. Something that most people take for granted is being able to introduce your love interest to your parents. The song touches on how strongly a person can love another; even after death. He touches on this when he says that life is good but love is better. The worldly things don't matter. Things like fame, social prominence, money, etc. The next best thing to spending eternity with you is that you can finally meet my mom in the afterlife. It is touching. Especially, when one considers that Pat lost his mother. He wrote drops of jupiter fr her.
