Twenty One Pilots: Screen Meaning
Screen Lyrics
In front of you and hide my soul
'Cause you're the only one who knows it,
Yeah, you're the only one who knows it
And I will hide behind my pride
Don't know why I think I can lie
'Cause there's a screen on my...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is Tyler talking to somebody who knows him very well and someone who Tyler tells everything to. Hes wondering why hes starting to hide how he feels and what he is thinking because they are the only one who knows the things that go on in his head and what he is feelings. He knows he cant lie because its clear to see that he isnt alright. "im trying to be so cool, everything together trying to be so cool" He is saying everything is totally fine even though it really isnt.
next part is talking about everything seems not real. He sees himself crashing down in his head and wondering if it is actually coming true. Then he is talking to other people and saying that his songs wont be good if he just says things that are popular and he then says that him and a lot of other people have a hard time getting through life while some are doing totally fine. Us singing to the sky is us asking god to help us through life.
Then he says that we are broken people and he is still trying so hard to keep his feelings bottled up so people think he is fine. -

#2 top rated interpretation:I think the beginning part is talking about God. God is the only one who knows his soul and he can not hide. And I think the screen symbolizes how God can look at him and see/read his soul kind of like words on a screen

I can’t really see the meaning except when he says “ I don’t know why I think I could lie, cause there’s a screen on my chest” is the fact that he can’t lie and life is hard because lying can get you out of big problems.

I think it's about him trying to fit in and 'trying to be so cool' but he's 'broken' because no matter how hard he tries to fit in, he fails.
