A Day Without Me Lyrics

Starting a landslide in my ego
Look from the outside
To the world I left behind

I'm dreaming
You're awake
If I were sleeping
What's at stake
A day without me

Whatever the feelings
I keep feeling
What are the feelings
You left...

The song "A Day Without Me" has the lead singer Bono talking about doing the right thing even if it seems wrong or silly. Taking a landslide through my ego. The song talks about being selfless.

I just recently purchased "Boy" but that song has always played in my head since high school, a time of many days spent contemplating suicide. Why doesn't someone interpret "Gone'"? that's a brain twister if there ever was one.

This song is about self inflicted pain or suicide.

It's obvious that the song is about suicide, or at least the contemplation of it. It has been said the song was written about Ian Curtis, lead singer of Joy Division, and I think that makes some sense, since I have heard that U2 were fans of Joy Division.
