Westlife: Amazing Meaning
Song Released: 2006
Amazing Lyrics
Follow me around just like a shadow
I'll swim a never-ending ocean
Until you bring back your devotion
It's like I live a thousand lifetimes
Still looking for the one that feels right
See, moving on...
-
To be honest I think it's about a guy who is in a r/s but they aren't doing well though they love each other.
We can conclude they were once the couple everyone wanted to be because "bring back your devotion". "back" suggests it was once there.
"still looking for the one that feels right" shows the guy cant ever find another person to replace the girl in his heart. Given he is looking, they might not be still together, though the way i see it, they are, but he *is* flashbacking so it could not be.
"moving on just isn't working" could be either theyve broken up or he is trying to bring himself to break them up since the r/s is crumbling
"protecting a lie for the sake of my pride" i believe here the lie refers to either the r/s they had in everyone else's eyes or his own. Either way, the lie is that the r/s is perfect. And he just wants to pretend it's all fine so everyone/he will not think the r/s was all in vain
"while all the others" refers to other couples out there doing well
"we could could be more than just amazing" obviously refers to how he wishes the r/s hadnt crumbled
And the rest of the song refers to his dilemma, although towards the end, it seems that he is determined to win her back. -
It is about how you love someone and you think it would amazing if you guys were a couple. You really are love that person.
