Wheatus: Teenage Dirtbag Meaning
Teenage Dirtbag Lyrics
I have a dream about her
She rings my bell
I got gym class in half an hour
Oh how she rocks
In Keds and tube socks
But she doesn't know who I am
And she doesn't give a damn about me
Cause Im just a teenage dirtbag...

In my opinion, this song can relate to any teenager out in society. It states on how they are known as being popular or known. The main singer grows a crush on a girl already in a relationship. He can't contain his feelings for her, even though it might mean getting harmed by her powerful boyfriend. He also doesn't believe she can fall for his "type". As he doesn't believe there can be a future for him and her, she shows interest in him at the ending.
