Alan Walker: Different world Meaning
Song Released: 2016
Different world Lyrics
Left untold
Beaten by a broken dream
Nothing like what it used to be (Used to be)
We've been chasing our demons down an empty road
Been watching our castle turning into dust
Escaping our shadows just to end up here...

1TOP RATED
#1 top rated interpretation:It was meant to describe the world nowadays. It shows that the earth changed much worse in the present day, where we can see most pollution everywhere. Air pollution, water pollution, and others. We lived in a world that is corrupted. Loss of humanity made us careless about the surroundings. Many living things suffered to live here in an open world. Animals are struggling live in their own habitats because of the human's greed. Their greed for power, money and fame. Humans like us made all of the chaos. All of us wish to save the planet and return into its original state. The world that has no chaos, no pollution, and safe for everyone to live on.

2TOP RATED
#2 top rated interpretation:Honestly, this can be interpreted in a few different way, either:
1. Global warming and such, we have to stop it.
OR
2.The end is coming even though it looks like it's the beginning of something good, and only a few people see it and need to stop it.
OR
3. It's about people living in a dystopian future remembering what life was like now and trying to change and go back to that. -
3TOP RATED
#3 top rated interpretation:They wanted to tell people to help the earth because we kill the earth every day with trash animal abuse cutting down trees and more please help the earth

In addition to global warming and the chaos of this world, I find the lyrics to be very poetic and very directed to the relationship of two lovebirds who were forced to end maybe they are in a state of confusion with the relationship, but there seems to be hope for them "but we got time"

It might just be my age but this song has gotten sadder I am getting into my age when I'm emotional but it has gotten sadder for me

Alan i think is meaning the weired or complicated things the world is taking us through and it seems to me that he is fade up of them.
-
he is telling us that humans are corrupt and that you need to try and fix your mistakes before they are unfixable and that you should fight for what you know and believe.
-
Though we've never expected that it will become this bad, but it's not too late to make amendments to the broken and dieing world.
-
I feel Walker is just trying to tell us that what he thought the world to be is different from what the world he sees. The pollution which is now depleting the ozone layer , trees felling, killing of animals that are originally meant to be our friends, the wars, destruction, pain, hunger, tears, this was never how Alan walker thought or felt the world would be so he feels he's in a different world.... An opposite universe probably
-
I think it means that humans are destroying the planet and we need to fix it. if you watch the music video it also conveys this meaning.
-
empowers us as humanity to fight for the world we know and love. it tells us we have made mistakes but we still have time to fix them, before it's too late.
-
The universe we living in, is an illusion. Searching for the unknown endlessly. Creepier than you thought.
