#1 top rated interpretation:I think spectre is a song about death. I know this is going to get bad ratings because death is a really dark topic, but I'm doing it anyway. The we live we love we lie is about the process of living. The we live is being born, the we love is getting in a relationship, and the we lie is death, as in lying in the grave. While in the lyrics is "There's a ghost INSIDE me", after that it says: "It all belongs to the other side", with the other side being death. This also explains the "before i fade away". The "hello hello can you hear me?" is the narrator asking if they can be still be heard, and also indicates that the narrator just died. The "deep in the dark, I don't need the light" could mean one of two things. The first is the fact that it is dark down in the grave, which it probably is. The second possibility is that the narrator is in hell, which is a very dark and evil place.

"the ghost inside" might mean the ghost of their memories still linger in the singer's mind, although they can't see the lover. And the singer thinks the loss is her(ok, I'm a girl so I'll say her.)fault, by saying "We live, we love, we lie." therefore, we can infer the one is lost because of the girl's lies, that she bitterly regrets that.

I love this song and I'm a big fan of Alan Walker
In my understanding of the song titled Spectre
It's kind of a message from someone doing things and still no one notices them they take care of people while no one takes care of them check use yourself and for example, you don't listen to this music when you're fully energized you listen to them while feeling depressed you put it on repeat and after long time of listening you off it and feel happy why cause you've realized that no matter what you can't change nothing
We live We love We lie meaning that no one is perfect we all have that dark side creeping deep down inside of us
And another explanation is about the relationship (heartbreak) not expecting the event that must have happened to the singer
It's just like confessing love happily and you later get a negative outcome
The song is nowhere related to death from my own understanding

He leido muchas interpretaciones. Algo es perturbador en la letra, y es que habla de que hay un fantasma dentro de si,.. que está en lo profundo de la oscuridad y que no necesita la luz... No creo q debamos cantar como tontos adjudicándonos los estados anímicos de los autores de las canciones que pueden llevarnos a depresiones serias, o aun peor, a estar con espiritualidades como llama la canción " del otro lado".. Ojo con eso.

As previously confirmed, Alan Walker is a big DC fan and so the song takes inspiration from the superhero, The Spectre, god's divine spirit of vengence. The song seems to refer how the host is trapped within this spirit with the use of "hello hello" but also how humans as a collective are not amazing people and how they "live, love and lie". The host is compelled to bring justice and so could be in conflict with themselves if they do not want to leave their earthly attatchments.
