I'm a huge fan of Alanis. This song isn't one of my favorites in fact I don't like it at all. However, it just so happens to fit someone I know perfectly. If you've ever known someone who is narcissistic then you know that almost every single word she says is spot on and I mean EVERY WORD! I let someone like this in my life. I cared about them and offered a friendship. That is until I saw the light. Saw them as a completely self absorbed, self centered person who masquerades around as someone their not. I have been slowly but surely cutting this person from my life. It's about someone who pretends to be happy, charming, smart and pleasant when all they are is a self loathing, selfish, unhappy fraud.
