Alessia Cara: Growing Pains Meaning
Song Released: 2018
Growing Pains Lyrics
(You are)
Make my way through the motions, I try to ignore it
But home's looking farther the closer I get
Don't know why I can't see the end
Is it over yet?
A short leash and a short fuse don't match
They tell me...

The transition between kid and adult is hard and this song is explaining her experience with it...she is basically trying to show that you shouldn't be scared to ask for help just because your an adult she is also saying that even though growing up is hard you have to stay strong and keep going because "no band-aids for growing pain"

Harin really is a cool man although it is hard for him beacuse he likes Alessia Cara so its tough.

I think this song is about her struggle to transition from kid to adult. She is teying to be independent but she still needs help and doesn’t want to ask for it.
