Alessia Cara: Wild Things Meaning
Song Released: 2016
Wild Things Lyrics
Find table spaces, say your social graces
Bow your head, they're pious here
But you and I, we're pioneers, we make our own rules
Our own room, no bias here
Let 'em sell what they are sellin', there are no buyers here
So gather all the...

My interpretation of the song is that she doesn't fit in with other people and she wants to make people realise that they don't need to be perfect they just need to be themselves. Everyone is different and people don't fit in because of how thay look. She is trying to say it's ok to be different and you don't need to be like everyone else. She is a rebel and she won't let anyone stop her. Alessia Cara is her own girl and no one can tell her what to do. I have felt like this way before. The boys on my school won't give the girls a chance to do anything. Her song means so much to me and I hope u can see it to.

I love this song, some people tryin to please others with them expressin their thought, potencials, and before they can realise they are not wanted anymore it gonna be late and timeless, please rule your world
-
live your life the way you want to and don't make time for people who tell you otherwise because life's too short for apologizing for being you and happy if that makes sense. :) I love this song to bits

This song is so personal to me, and it means a lot. I think it is about not living up to the world's expectations. She is going to rebel against what the world says. And she wants to tell everyone that she will do it. I especially love the lines "we will carve our place into time and space, we will find our way or we'll make a way". I think that is very true, and people will remember the rebels. As she says in her other song, My Song, "good girls don't make history"!
-
First I just wanted to say this is not a song interpretation, it's more of a comment about the song. I'm a girl, and my best friends are boys, and my mom wants me to have more "girlfriends". I choose my friends, I don't want to follow the other girls because I can't relate to them we have nothing in common. I like my friends, and I'm not changing them.
-
The song addresses the issue of feeling excluded and feeling alienated by your peers. She is trying to say it is OK to be different and you don't need to apologize for being different because you can still be an amazing person. You can still be happy while you don't fit in.
-
She could be speaking in the perspective of the Aboriginals. There are pioneers in Canada. More history stuff that you will get bored of reading.
-
I think it means not caring what anybody thinks and being yourself and being free from the rules of the world.
-
I think this song is about being who you are and not caring about what others think. Which is so true because so many people today fall to following the "in crowd" and the "cool kids" and Alessia is saying to let out the wild free side and follow your own rules.

Being in the wild is a good feeling. No restrictions, one can be everything they imagined. According to me, there's a group of people that think they are more important than others and so they don't associate with people of a lesser status than them. To fit in with them you have to bend to their rules and policies. But this prevents one from expressing who they are. In the song, alessia expresses rebellion to this sort of people. She expresses contempt towards their segregative attitudes.
-
My interpretations of this song is that she is being outcast by some people, but then she gets together with other people who are outcasts as well, but they don't want to be "in" with the popular kids.
This is just what I think, and it might not be right. ☺
