Alice In Chains: I Can't Remember Meaning
I Can't Remember Lyrics
'Scuse the 'tude but I haven't eaten today
And my eyes are turning grey
What's your name?
I can't remember... I can't remember
Bring me down you try
Feel the pain and keep it all in till you die
Without eyes you...
-
It is about freeing himself by killing his evil mother

I think Layne is singing as if he was Satan. It's gotta be.

Without eyes you cannot cry.. But the lyrics said Feel the pain and keep it all in till you die. I believe that verse before means that since the person might feel the pain, they did not physically go through it. So it's as though they are blind. This is only possible meaning. This other is obvious, The visions in my mind from
Screaming at me and mama
Mama, oh, my angry brains of infancy. His father was a serious drug user and if this goes deeper. Than one might think that his mother was a junkie during the 9 months he was in her.. He stated his angry brand of infancy.. Possibly withdraw as infant. He would not know this but a infant can suffer withdrawal..Sadly this song hurts ( BUT I am alive ) -
This song doesn't have a clear meaning, but multiple possible meanings, the most obvious being drug addiction
"Turn around you say
'Scuse the 'tude but I haven't eaten today
And my eyes are turning grey
What's your name?" it could also possibly be about a war veteran (the same one from the Rooster song) who wants to forget about the horrors of war and stop having flashbacks. "Feel the pain and keep it all in till you die"
