Best Mistake Lyrics
How soon do we forget, how we felt?
Dealing with emotions, that never left
Playing with the hand that we were dealt, in this game...
Maybe I'm the sinner, and you're the saint
Gotta stop pretending, what we ain't
Why we pointing...

#1 top rated interpretation:This song is talking about a girl and a boy who are having problems with their relationship. the girl starts to second guess whether they were really meant to be together. Then she says that if he was a mistake, then he was the best mistake she ever made. She tells him, and he assures her that if they were a mistake, they were definitely the best mistake. So the song is about them trying to hold onto their crumbling relationship and trying to make it work.

I think this is about a girl letting the boy girl even though she knew it was wrong and that if she loved him she will save him from the pain in the relationship that has died so she learned to let him go and the boy and girl will always love each other and will always find a way to come back to Each other but for now he is her best mistake

"Best Mistake" was written by Denisia "Blu June" Andrews, Brittany Coney, Ariana Grande, Big Sean, Corey Jackson Carter, and with production, programming and instruments done by Key Wane. The vocals were produced by Curtis "Sauce" Wilson, with Gregg Rominiecki engineering Big Sean's vocals. Serban Ghenea handled the mixing of the track, which was engineered by John Hanes, and finally the mix was mastered by Aya Merrill and Tom Coyne.[1] It is a minimal hip-hop piano ballad lament that utilizes instrumentation from strings and a drum machine.[2] It is about a couple trying to "make up their minds about the future of their relationship, with deep affection buried underneath their problems."[2][3][4][5] Grande revealed that "Best Mistake" was her favorite track on My Everything: "I just think the world of [Big Sean] and I'm obsessed with his writing on this song in particular. I'm a huge fan of his in general but I feel like his writing on this song is so, so fantastic, it like strikes a chord in my heart. I love it so much."[6]

the girl left someone for him. And now she wasn't sure if the boy really wants him now that she has chosen him over his ex.

This song is about how two people are in a relationship that isn't working out but they're going to hold on anyway even though they know it's a mistake and one person knows it's a mistake but still loves the other person 'best mistake ' .They loved their time together and they will still love them (I'll be saving my love for you) even though they know it won't work (there's no pot of gold in the rainbows we chase)
-
I think it's about a love that just can't work out but they "hold on" so even though they made the mistake of falling in love in the first place, they can't just end it off.
-
Basically I think it's about their love being unbreakable. Even though they fight, they couldn't imagine being with someone else. They love each other too much to end it
-
This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
-
I think it's about a girl who in love with a boy but they're having a lot of problems. So she telling he's her best mistake a in she love him very much. They hold on no matter how much they argue
