For me this is about she started something with a guy who has a girlfriend ("Baby, I don't care if you got her in your heart; all I really care is you wake up in my arms"), but the guy's girlfriend discovered them ("I know that this is my fault, I should've been more careful"). The guy is now sorry, but he can't keep the reltionship he had with her, because he is back with his original girlfriend (Whom I assume forgave him). This is why the lyric speaking asks the guy for one last time to hold him and be with him.

This song is about a girl who cheated on a guy and now just wants to sleep with him.
The language is obvious that this is what she means. She knows he has a new girl that is actually good to him, but she wants to pull him away from that to have sex with him. understanding her blame and wrongdoing, while simultaneously trying to absolve it, "at least I'm being honest".
It's amazing how many of you interpreters grasp at straws. This song is literally awful in its message. Music is good tho. -

Listening to the song the one thing that comes to my mind is her asking for the forgiveness of God even though she is a sinner and "Doesn't deserve it." Many lyrics in the song say this such as "I was a liar
