   From what I understand, this song about her lying or possibly cheating on the guy she loves and he ends up leaving her but she regrets what she did to him. She wants one last time with him but he already has a someone who gives him everything he's ever wanted.

   I think she "gave into the fire," Means she cheated on him. Because she "should've fought it." I actually do believe think it's about sex. I see it as, this isn't going to work, she did something to him, and wants one last time with him. "As long as you wakeup in my arms." I think refers to the morning after.
