I'm sorry to say you're wrong...

The crimson is about turning into a vampire "I feel it welling up inside... I can't hide the monster any more... I wipe the blood from my cheek and get on with my day..." it is kinda obvious.

This song is about Alex wondering if the girl he is in love with will love him even though he is not perfect, hence " will you still hold me when you see what I have done" means he has made some mistakes.
