It's just a song, stop exaggerating. Are you people really serious? I hope not.
This song is about how girls deserve respect, how we make our own money and can do what we want, and achieve anything. -

#3 top rated interpretation:Okay, to the person who's spouting random nonsense about her worshipping the devil: shut up. You don't need to spam a million comments about it. We got it the first time.
She is singing about the power of women. Since much of the world is patriarchal and demeans women (which ranks them as closer to animals than human) and denotes them in a negative light, Beyonce is trying to convey in her music that girls have this immense power that men understates. Women have started to step up the ladder at a rapid rate, proving to men that women are far more intelligent and important than what the men make them. She also wants to point out that women deserve a lot of respect for all the things they go through and yet going "back to business". As for their attire, they are portraying their beauty, but at the same time they're saying "hands off" because a woman should have the right to appear beautiful as they choose -not because someone else dictates. It's a beautiful song about women empowerment. This song's lyrics makes me feel like I deserve respect for who I am as a woman.
By the way, she was NEVER implicating devil worship in her songs. You're just pulling a stupid veil over your eyes because someone fed you those words to say because they think their religion is perfect. Now I would love to point out that the concept of "devil" was actually derived from the Persian religion Zoroastrianism. Whatever religion you had didn't exist until after people mixed up all the concepts of different religions together throughout history in different empires and countries. Please run through some historical references thoroughly first (and especially don't just pick certain pieces of info that supports what YOU believe in-make sure to read ALL and actually THINK you ignorant person/people) before accusing people of being devil worshippers. -
I was on a another site and someone named Karen posted a comment and said that this song was horrible and a big disappointment. So I guess what I'm really trying to say is never trust a Karen when it comes to music.

For those commenting that Beyonce and JZ arent part of the illuminati pls do some research and get educated.
Its becoz of idiots like you this world is going down.
Get your skull outta these peoples behinds and give your brain cells some air.
They are freaking satanists..!
Wake tf up!!

Of course I really. Love that song because it talks about girls and what a girl and a woman can do go Beyoncé you are the best singer ever
-
This is a great female empowerment track, which it never hurts to have enough of. It is true that women and girls are tough. They are "strong enough to bear the children then get back to business". Although women can make good moms, most of them have thriving careers and good friends to support them both financially and personally.

For heaven's sake, it should be a law that idiots can't post on the internet. You Illuminati crazies really need to get a life. First, you decided Beyonce was the anti-Christ...now, it's her daughter. You will blindly target a hugely successful public figure and twist reality to fit your needs because your conspiracy theories require that it be one.
Furthermore, a persuasion can be a group or variety. Tradition states that there are two groups of people (if you separate by gender)--males and females. Her "persuasion"-the female group-can build a nation. Simple as that. -
The song is up for interpretation as most songs are.
Women have power over men and the comment about:
my persuasion can build a nation
can be meant as the sexual power women have over a man and how she can pump out kid after kid because of her power. You can build a nation of people because guys can't turn down sex. Don't take it literally.
Plus everyone knows Beyonce changes a word on a hook and takes writing credit so its not her words. -
cum on guys beyonce was a church goer bt nt anymre, she is a devil worshiper n dtz a fact if eva u hv wtched her bday video she evn made dt sign of a pyramid wid an eye.evn her younger sista solange is an illuminati so dnt gt decievd by being dt she is clean bcz she is nt n her hairstyles indicates da baphomet n itz evilish.

Ok people this is so silly, if you think these people are worshipping the devil...instead of spending all this time commenting and scratching your head...close your eyes and pray..
-
Omg, are you people serious? You actually think that Beyonce is a devil worshipper? Its really funny how they point out the colors she had on in the video, the hand gestures she was doing, the things she was saying and what it really meant, don't you think that it doesn't make any sence to write a song, just to have it played backwards just to see what it really means? I'm sorry if some of you actually believe in that bs because its stupid. Beyonce doesn't worship the devil, her songs have nothing to do with the illuminati, I'll tell you what all this means......she has a lot of haters out there, trying to turn her good music into something its not.
-
I think that she is trying to say that without women or the female gender, the world would not be the world. Because think about it, yeah men get women pregnant but the fetus comes out of the women. So you cant really reproduce without women. Think about this y'all suckas who say she a devil worshipers. that's the stupidest stuff Ive heard.

Sometimes I think the song is about the devil. Because in the beginning of the song a woman is on the cross. But, sometimes throught the song it talks about a woman who has power ova the men and they want respect and control. So ppl yall dont knoe what thhe song is really about. If shes worshipping the devil then thats her and I hope she gets saved. But if shes not then ppl let her do her. God says never judge anyone.Yall dont want to be jugde by other ppl. So stop. We are now intering our last days. Ppl get it right to go to heaven. Remember never jugde a person by thier character, jugde a person by thier personality. Ppl put your mind on the Lord not on the world. I pray for Beyonce and the world to get saved, including me and my enemies.

I think that this song is the best song ever! i agree with everyone about her being a devil worshiper but i mean who are we to judge its her life because without her i mean who could you be talking about if she didn't become the great and inspiring person she is today!!! Besides everything she has done and all the bad choices she has done i still love her because she has inspired me big time and i love you Beyonce Giselle Knowles
