Billy Joel: Goodnight Saigon Meaning
Song Released: 1983
Goodnight Saigon Lyrics
-
The song means to me that the soldiers risked their lives to help Vietnam in their
war, also it talks about what the soldiers been through. -
This is a very sad song. He had buddies that lost their lived fighting the Vietnam War. The line, "And we will all go down together" It's about how the young men in the army swore to fight until they were all dead. It's about how helpless the U.S. was to save them.
