Bon Jovi: It's My Life Meaning
Song Released: 2000
It's My Life Lyrics
No silent prayer for the faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud
[Chorus:]
And It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna...
-
Basically, it says do whatever you want because it's your life and it's too short to not make the most of it
-
This song means throwing caution to the wind, jumping on your metaphorical harley davidson motorcyle and riding full throttle on the road of life with one middle finger waving in the air, while this song blasts in the background.
In other words Carpe Diem (Seize the day). It's my life! -
The characters in the video are tommy and gina, btw.
-
"This ain't a song for the broken-hearted,
No silent prayer for the faith-departed"
The first lines sets the stage. It is going to be about love, break-ups, broken hearts. But it is not for the broken-hearted, so if your heart is broken this song isn't for you. It is actually for the one, who broke your heart!
"I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd" - I am not going to be like the others, who just stay still not looking for fun. I want to show my personality by doing wild stuff.
"You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud" - I am not ashamed if you see me/hear me doing something, that you don't approve.
"My heart is like a open highway" - I am open for other people.
"I did it my way" - I feel guilt, but I am not going to admit it.
I can keep going on, but I think this song can be used, when being accused of flirting/not being faithful. It is a hymn for someone, who wants to live wild and isn't going to stay put. -
Personally I think this song has a lot to do with choices. It's about how we can live life the way we want to,if we don't bend or break or back down, then we can live life our own way, simply because its our own life, no repeats or reruns, that's it, so we have to live it to the full.

Yes there is a song by frank called "I did it my way"
This is a very cool song I think the music video says it all -
Yeah, this song is more or less about doing the things you wanna do despite what other people say. you're only gonna live for the years you're gonna live, so live them.
-
All I know about this song is that "Tommy and Gina" is the characters that appeared in "Livin on a Prayer."
Also, "Frankie said I did it my way" is a reference to Frank Sinatra. Not sure if it was a Sinatra lyric or song title...but Sinatra nonetheless.
