Box Car Racer: And I Meaning
And I Lyrics
i'm standing in line
i'm feeling so down
and i am full of doubt
she's not the one take notice
hear me out
and i want her, need her
and you always will pull me through
i'm tired
this games so dumb
she never...

#1 top rated interpretation:I think the song is about a very special girl that Tom (or whoever) wants to be with, but he has to realize that he's not the only person fancied in this particular girl - other guys like her too and so he has to play ("this games so dumb ") a game to gain her heart. She's not playing games, she's winning from the very beginning because she is the one that can choose between the guys ("she never played, her race's won"). I also think that the narrator/singer is aware of being treated in a wrong way - he knows that this relationship hurts because of the way this girl treats him and that he might get left behind ("and you always will pull me through "). The Change from "her" (" want her, need her") to "you" might be related to the girl or another person, a person who's a better "gamer" than he is. In the very ending of the song ("and i, and i, and i") I sense something like despair even sorrow - he knows that he will lose and now he asks himself: And what about me? = and I

I think that this song is about a guy that has girlfriend or just broke up with one, and he just feels so lost without her or feels like she doesn't want him and she doesn't care. So then he's like, why do I even try, I won't win anyways. I think that he's telling all of this to his best friend and telling them that he needs their help to get him back on his feet again. Hence the, you always will pull me through. And the whole, 'and I, and I and I' is him just kind of running out of how much he can possibly explain what this girl means to him and how much he wants her
-
Yes to the person above but also I believe he's explaining the situation to a friend ("Take notice hear me out") and how the person's always been there for him to pull him through.

This song is about a guy (Tom) who is confused about a girl he wants and needs but not sure if she is the one.
