   The song is about his childhood friend who passed and he's remembering all the memories the two had together. He wished he had spent more time with him as they got older. Its about how you need to relize how important people really are to you in your life. Its a really beautiful song.

   Robbie(cavetown) sounds like he's grieving something, someone he lost, remembering spending time with them with the view out of the car and waking up feeling like it had been weeks showing how long it'd been, it also sounds like he might be blaming himself because he tells himself to forgive himself, the second verse starts with him basically saying he wish his friend wasn't gone by saying that he wished they talked more online and how important each friend is.

   I feel like this is about a childhood friend of Robbie (cave town) who passed in a car accident the lyrics “left the front door wide open maybe it’s a sign that we shouldn’t be going I didn’t realize it’d be so hard” makes me think that he died in a car crash possibly with Robbie in the car.    This song was written about cavetowns childhood friend who had passed from leukemia. He is talking about all the memories the two of them had together. This song is so meaningful and it’s also trying to say that you should be thankful for every friend. I hope this helped

   I think this song is talking about a friend that passed or defriended Robbie. The song has a lot of memories in it and says the verse ‘woke up and felt like it’d been weeks and now it truly has been’ maybe meaning Robbie wished he’d spent more time with them during their friendship. It then says ‘forgive yourself’ where Robbie would be saying to his friend to not take the blame on themself for defriending Robbie. Another verse says ‘and while you sleep in the pouring rain’ this is indicating that maybe Robbie’s friend was mentally ill and that’s a reason that they broke up. ‘Just know I’ll be with you someday’ I think this means that Robbie is thinking of going suicide because he has no one after he got defriended. ‘Becoming disconnected’ (not being friends anymore), ‘really puts into perspective’ (makes you realize), ‘how important every friend is who makes u wanna live’ (how important the friend was because they were the reason Robbie didn’t kill himself). ‘While u sleep on a sunny day’ means that this may be a memory of when robbie was happy but he’s not anymore. ‘It’s not goodbye, just see u later’ I think this means that the friend told Robbie they were just taking a break of being friends, but as the years went by, he realized that the friend was lying.
