fool Lyrics

[Chorus]
I am just a fool to keep on chasin' after nothing great
You are just a fool to keep pretendin' that you're lovin' me
I don't know where I'm supposed to go
Oh oh oh oh oh o-oh oh
Oh oh oh oh o-oh oh

[Verse 1]
Call me on the phone...

I think that this is about Robbie's struggle with first relationships and is going through heartbreak. He doesn't know how to handle it and saying that he's a fool for chasing someone who doesn't love him and he keeps on loving them because he clung to them and can't let them go because he loved them very much

Cavetown loves someone but they don’t love him back. However, they keep leading him believe his feelings are mutual. He calls them a fool for believing they could continue to deceive him. Conversely, he acknowledges he himself is being foolish for continuing to pursue them and believe their lies when deep down he knows they aren’t going to return his affection.

I think this may be about how Robbie is you g through struggles of being trans and transitioning, also going through first heartbreak. And how he got attached to this person.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

they may feel like they can do nothing good and doesn't deserve love and gets it anyway and feels like they are stupid for getting confused about anything.
