Chameleon Circuit: Exterminate Regenerate Meaning
Exterminate Regenerate Lyrics
And I'm pretty sure that you know
That not much has changed since then
It doesn't matter how hard you try to remove me
I think you will agree
That if one of us dies, then the other...
-
I think that this is both Davros and the Doctor talking at different times. For example, at one time the song says "why don't you hop into your ship, and leave me burning", while in that same line at another point in the song it says "why don't you hop into my ship, and we can settle this".
-
Well, obviously it's not the Doctor and the Daleks. He would never 'settle it' with them, it's impossible. They are beings of hate.
It's probably him and l. Pleasing, that l have a song. I did meet him on Skaro once. And we are quite the same.
But I am not settling this feud any time soon. Much too fun to take over his pet world and see how he beats me. I always leave him an escape hatch.
Not that he needs it. He always finds a different way than what I expect.
I'm getting off track. Anyways, the chorus is for the first few me yelling at him for being a prat and telling him to just beat it because he always does.
Of course in the last part he goes all logical on me and all 'no we aren't the same I'm better yadda yadda yadda' Ugh. He does worse than I do when he gets angry-he has no room to talk!
What next...ah yes. The end of reality bit he spouts is a reference to when he found me at the end of the universe.
And he does have a horrid habit of making his companions into weapons to be wielded. Well, I turn you idiot humans against yourselves. Hah.
I still wished I'd been able to keep the template. Being everybody was fun.
Right! Point.
We seem to settle our differences at the end. Hm. Well that would be nice, but I'd rather keep playing this game we have. -
This song is about Davros singing to Doctor, particularly about the episode Journey's End, although some people say that it is about the Master and the Doctor.
